Ellen's Birthday Surprise

  So in honor of Ellen turning 50, a bunch of her celeb-friends were somehow coerced into lip-synching along to "I Will Survive", which was then presented as a "surprise" montage to Ellen.  Note to my family and friends: on MY 50th birthday, this is what I ask you NOT to do.

Not that it doesn't have it's moments, but with the good comes the bad. But let's be positive, and focus on the good. It is after all a special day for Ellen (did we know she was 50?  which means she's 16 years older than Portia di Rossi...guess trophy wives aren't just for men...). The highlights, at least for me, was Jake Gyllenhaal shakin' his cute little ass, Queen Latifah, who looked like the only one who knew what she was doing, and David Spade, who played to his strengths.  No lip-syching dogs though...unless you count Paris Hilton. Snap!

Anyways, it's a fun little clip worth checking out, so in the words of Kurt Loder, do check it out.

When told to watch the Ellen video I went to the referenced site and got this message: "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."

What a disappointment!
