(Getty Images) If you dance with Ellen Degeneres, you will become the next President of the United States. It sure looked that way anyway, after watching Obama walk on to Ellen's stage, dancing to Beyonce's "Crazy in Love." He continued the dance with Ellen, and by the looks of the women in the audience, Obama's got the ladies vote. I have to admit, he did look pretty hot -- watch it now.
Speaking of Ellen -- on today's show, she's going to talk about the recent tragic death of Lawrence King, the 15 year-old gay teen who was allegedly shot by a fellow student after he asked him to be his Valentine. Here's a head-up on what Ellen says on the show:

Every year I try to resist, and every year it sucks me back in. The satanic minions last season were Melinda Doolittle and Blake "I wish he played for my team" Lewis, and this season it's likely to be David Archuleta.
Never mind the last name that makes me think of spiders. Never mind the fact that the boy just turned freaking seventeen (and therefore makes me feel like a wizened cradle-robber). Talent is sexy, and the guy's got talent in spades.

Well, the first part of Bravo's "Project Runway" season finale is over and now it's finally down to three designers: Christian, Jillian, and Rami. Sure, Chris had some fun and whacky ideas, but his design and construction skills weren't nearly as sophisticated as Rami's.
When Heidi, Nina, and Michael made Rami and Chris duke it out for the final spot a few weeks ago, it seemed to me a foregone conclusion that Chris was going to end up going home early. I think the judges just wanted to shock Rami out of his "grecian goddess" fixation and shake him up a bit. It did seem to help him--the stuff we got to see looked fantastic.

Still adorable (and skinnier?) Valerie Bertinelli will be appearing on "Larry King Live" tonight to promote her book Losing It, and to entice us to watch, here she is admitting that she once kissed a woman while married to Eddie Van Halen. She doesn't go into too much detail, but maybe it's because she's sitting across from Larry King. Who knew he knew so much about same-sex attraction? Creeeeepppppyyyy....

If you didn't get a chance to catch the spectacular "Beowulf" in theaters, you have to check it out on DVD.
Director Robert Zemeckis' stunning visual masterpiece is the kind of movie that makes you angry with critics for overuse of the term "feast for the eyes," because in this case, it really is. The film is an animated re-telling of the ancient poem, and the all-star cast -- Anthony Hopkins, Ray Winstone and Angelina Jolie -- are transformed into animated creatures in a way never before seen in cinema.

Quick TiVo alert: Tyra Banks interviewed Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee in early Feburuary, and the interview is scheduled to air on “The Tyra Banks Show” this Friday, February 29. Banks discussed a few gay issues with Huckabee, and made it clear she was doing so because the gays loved her so much...Here's a sample of what they discussed.
BANKS: Do you want the gay vote?

(Getty Images) Last week, we wrote about how Jimmy Kimmel's plans to get revenge on girlfriend Sarah Silverman for her "Fu*king Matt Damon" video by doing a response video of his own entitled "I'm Fu*king Ben Affleck."
Well, the video aired just last night as part of Kimmel's "Oscar Night Special" and it's...not great. Sure, Kimmel got Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz (yes, she sings!), Harrison Ford, Joan Jett and tons of other celebs to participate -- and you'll laugh for sure -- but Sarah's original was sheer genius. (Btw -- you can cast your vote on which video is better on Gay.com). Somehow incorporating all these A-listers lessed its cred or something, whereas Silverman and Damon's duet relied on just plain and simple talent - plus the song is just plain good! Like "Dick in a Box", you find yourself humming it (or at least I do) in spite of yourself.

(Getty Images) What struck me most about this year's show was the actual genuiness that prevaded the ceremonies. Starting with John Stewart as host himself, there was a tone of true appreciation tempered by an understanding that these are just the Oscars, not the Nobel Peace Prize awards. I have to admit that I found myself a little veklempt more than once with these really moving and awkward acceptance speeches.
But before I go there, can I just get a few things off my chest? Where was Ben Affleck? I mean, both his wife and brother are in nominated movies, and he can't show? And speaking of Jennifer Garner, did you see her get attacked by Gary Busey on the E! Red carpet? It's truly disturbing -- watch. How's Ben going to handle that one?
Did you SEE Regis Philbin in the pre-show call muy caliente Javier Bardem "Xavier"? How does that happen? Bardem was completely gracious, but Philbin is an idiot. Can't they find someone under 60 to do this crap (other than Ryan Seacrest, that is). I mean, I'm free...clearly.

I am a sucker for anything that pulls at the old heartstrings, so it was with some weird mix of masochism and enthusiasm that I looked forward to the Heath Ledger portion of Oscar's "In Memoriam" tribute. The lump in my throat was building, as it became clearer with each deceased actor, writer and excecutive producers that they were saving Ledger for last.
So imagine my disappointment when they showed only two pictures of him, and one from a distance. They didn't even feature him speaking (nor did they for anyone else, but c'mon...he uttered one of film's instant classic lines). I was shocked and disappointed; I had every expectation that there would be much more substance to his tribute.
