Top Chef: Lesbians Need Not Apply

Top_chef_jennifer Within the space of two weeks, Top Chef has successfully purged its kitchen of (out) lesbians. Jenn, the more talented half of TC's first gay couple/contenstants, was eliminated last night after improvising an homage to erections out of asparagus and goat cheese.  OK, so that may shed light on some personal issues, but I'm not convinced she should've been sent packing.

Not that it should've been her partner Stephanie, who has spent more time on the winning side than the losing. It surely would've been a shame to lose her, as she is possibly poised as the show's first female winner. But Antonia and Lisa? They didn't even use the ingredients they were charged with, and that awkward shot of tequila that the two of them did in front of their guests - without offering them any...WTF? They should both be packing their knives. Antonia has spent more time on the firing line than anyone, and Lisa - ugh, I shudder just thinking about her. She may be the most unpleasant personality Top Chef has ever had on. She is miserable, and it was her refusal to use the prescribed Polish Sausage in their plate...and while I've heard others refer to her being gay as well, I find it hard to believe she is anything other than involuntarily celibate.

The rest of the contestants seemed genuinely bummed and surprised that Jenn got sent home, but too much was made of her "in it to win it" attitude after Zoi's departure for her to make it to the final. Not sure if they are looking to create controversy, but more than anything, the judges and producers just disappointed lots of fans.

The highlight of the otherwise awkward show (not a fan of Improv) was judge Ted Allen's witty comeback to a sausage joke at dinner. When one of the dinner guests from Second City mentions that he'd been looking forward to having some Polish Sausage, he winked at Ted and said, "Don't take this the wrong way Ted!", to which Allen quickly responded, "...he says to the gay guy! No problem...I'm not Polish!" I heart Ted.

Still waiting for Andrew's meltdown...I have to believe it's coming. I gotta think Nikki or Antonia's gone next...but aside from the obvious three (Richard, Dale, & Stephanie) do we think anyone else really has a shot?

Oh please...she wasn't kicked out because she was a lesbian...it's a pretty gay show...on a pretty gay network. She was kicked out because the dish was the worst and at the judges tables she seemed to have taken the most responsibility for it.

OK the meal was not so TASTY but they met the requirements of Orange Turned On Asparagus. They made a big deal of the goat cheese being the focal point of the dish and saying the dish was supposed to be asparagus. Seems to be it was supposed to be ORANGE Turned On Asparagus......Unlike the Chillean Sea Bass and Chorizzo replacement for polish sausage.....the judges made the Big Deal about not following the rules.....They followed the Rules and I do believe it was an Out the Out Lesbian Trial. SHAME ON BRAVO

OH the goat cheese was ORANGE Which met the required COLOR Specifications..............

I don't think he was saying she was kicked off the show because she was gay braniac. I think he was saying that they were the only gays on the show and they had to leave. This is a gay site dedicated to gay articles. I don't think they are here to split hairs...
