It's gotten so the minute "Dancing with the Stars" goes off the air, rumors about next season's guests start a-swirling. Lance Bass is said to be "locked and loaded" for the seventh season (and I can't wait, if it's true).

Other rumored invitees include:

Celebutard Kim Kardashian, who's said she'd "be honored to be asked"

Dan Freakin' Quayle (!), who's confirmed the invitation but turned it down

Paula Abdul, who's a long shot since she's a regular on another network

McCain Compares Obama To Britney, Paris

What do they have in common? They are vacuous celebrities, according to John McCain, who compares Britney Spears—oh, and Paris Hilton, too—to Barack Obama in a new attack ad.

The TV spot, which is called "Celeb," opens with images of Britney and Paris, then cuts to footage of Obama's speech in front of 200,000 people in Berlin last week. "He's the biggest celebrity in the world," a narrator says. "But is he ready to lead?"

Mario Lopez has landed a new gig as host of the syndicated entertainment show Extra, which means we'll get to see his gorgeous face five times a week starting on September 15.

If he'd host shirtless, we'd get to see his beautiful body, too, but I doubt he'd do that… even if we asked nicely.

Rocky recast, take two

It seems everyone who isn't bitching about MTV ruining "Rocky Horror" by remaking it has jumped on the recasting couch. Here's my take on your suggestions so far. Thoughts? Comments?

Frank N Furter: Amy Winehouse. Not only is she a freak, but twisting the sexuality around would be hot. And she could tear those songs UP. And it would just add a dimension if she stumbled her way through. Bonus points to commenter Mark, who suggested a quartet of actors to play Frank, all directed by Todd Haynes. Wino, Wentz, Prince, and Marilyn Manson?

Brad: Jake Gyllenhaal. OK, he can't sing, but hey, Rocky's voice was dubbed in the original, and NOBODY does goofy or discovering-his-gay-sexuality better.

Janet: Lindsay Lohan. Dammit, Lindsay, we love you, and we are determined to make "Touch-a Touch-a" hit the Billboard charts this time around. (Should Linds be in rehab during filming, I'd go for Amy Adams ...)

Riff Raff: Neil Patrick Harris. You guys thought he should be Brad, but after "Dr. Horrible," I wanna see him REALLY evil.

Time Warp! MTV Remaking "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"

MTV is planning to film a remake of the 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, according to Variety.

Here's my initial response to the news: Why bother? Seriously, I just don't think MTV can top this all-out freakfest.

  Coming out is tough, but coming out on reality television to millions of viewers is a real bear, especially when done in conversation with the "Incredibly Intimidating Hulk" Hogan on "Brooke Knows Best".
