Kathy vs. Lance?

It's gotten so the minute "Dancing with the Stars" goes off the air, rumors about next season's guests start a-swirling. Lance Bass is said to be "locked and loaded" for the seventh season (and I can't wait, if it's true).

Other rumored invitees include:

Celebutard Kim Kardashian, who's said she'd "be honored to be asked"

Dan Freakin' Quayle (!), who's confirmed the invitation but turned it down

Paula Abdul, who's a long shot since she's a regular on another network

Alas, Kathy's not playing: "No! I can't even touch my toes!" she told ABC. (Quayle also reportedly said no.) Too bad: I really would have relished watching her smack-talk her fellow contestants -- especially if Kim K. ended up on the show.

You've still got a month before the suspense ends: ABC is set to reveal the full cast August 25 on "Good Morning America." Wonder who else will get sucked into the rumor mill or "accidentally" name-dropped before then.

Meanwhile, if you're not following this season of "My Life on the D List," time to reset your TiVos, dearies. It is seriously her funniest season so far, and I'm willing to bet she wins another Emmy this year. Suck it, Jesus!

I watch "My life on the D-list" because I enjoy watching Kathy make a complete fool of herself on her own show. I can't imagine what a great show like "Dancing with the Stars" which has been so refreshing and nice for a competition would be like if they put in someone who thinks that positive publicity is being absolutely as vulgar as she can be in an effort to be funny.

She is on the D-list, if there is one, because she behaves like she should be on the D-list. The general populace doesn't like over the top, too edgy vulgarity, ecspecially when it is in an area where that sort of thing isn't really appropriate.

She is like a female Howard Stern, except she keeps trying to get herself out of that niche, without really knowing how to do so. Even Howard knows that going too over the top in the general public too many times is damaging, which is why he only did it like once a year.

Hell, she's got a billionaire, marry the guy and retire. She's got it all set up for her.

Kathy's whole act is that someone like her (completely over the top, completely vulgar) will never be A-list, and she loves it! She's making fun of the whole structure of celebrity in our society, and people like CB and Peter will never get it. She is adored by millions who do get it, however.

Kathy Griffin is one of my favorites! If you watch the show (My Life on the D List) you will see the heart behind the woman as well. She is a funny comedian, she is over-the-top (glad of it!) and she is always hilarious. Kathy is also quite a smart woman and can easily laugh at herself and the establishment...but she is aware of friendships and family and takes care of the people who help take care of her! If you are fan, you are quite aware of when she is on the job and when she is being herself (it is heart warming to watch her with her mother and friends) Good thing about it all is that if you don't like her, don't watch her show!
I, personally, think she is great. I would love to meet her in person someday!
