David Duchovny Enters Sex Rehab Facility, Is Michael Phelps Verging On Overexposure?, Tim Gunn Analyzes Jennifer Aniston's Fashion

Davidduchovny (Getty Images) David Duchovny has checked into a rehab facility where he is being treated for sex addiction.

Talk about art imitating life. Actually, I should say, talk about life imitating art. The actor plays Hank Moody, a sexually promiscuous novelist on the Showtime series Californication, which kicks off its second season on September 28.

Did Lohan Approve this Ad?

Katy_perry_lindsay_lohan_2 So I'm minding my own business, off the gay-blogging clock, enjoying the latest issue of In Touch...a guilty pleasure I admit to, if only to see what that Chace Crawford is up to these days. Anyways, I come across this spread advertising MTV's upcoming VMAs, featuring a huge pic of the summer's It Girl Katy Perry.

There's been plenty of debate, in the gay community at least, about her two hit songs, "Ur So Gay" and "I Kissed A Girl", but it's hard to know if MTV chose to highlight Perry in their ads in order to court controversy or because she is undeniably a breakout star this year.

But these thoughts rushing through my head all became completely irrelevant as my eyes travelled to the upper right hand corner of the ad. There, peeking over a faux-fold, were the come hither eyes of celesbian Lindsay Lohan. WTF?

The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency Returns For Another Dysfunctional Season

Janice_model (Getty Images) Eye candy. That's the reason why I watch the The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, and there was plenty of it on last night's season premiere.

My favorite model is Chandler, one of the new recruits Janice has brought into the fold this season. That body, those eyes—this guy is hot.

Can You Picture Cher As Catwoman?

Cher (Getty Images) Get this: According to a report in Britain's Telegraph newspaper, Batman franchise director Christopher Nolan wants Cher—yes, Cher—to suit up as Catwoman in the next Batman film. A studio executive is quoted as saying, "Cher is Nolan's first choice to play Catwoman. He wants her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years."

Senator Ted Kennedy Enlivens Democratic National Convention

Ted_kennedy (Getty Images) Did anyone else wonder what was going on during the first couple of hours of the Democratic National Convention last night? I have never seen such a dull, uninspired political gathering in my life. Maybe it was more exciting on the convention floor, but the speeches by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and company certainly didn't make for good TV. Then Senator Edward Kennedy took the mic following a moving video tribute to him and spoke with the passion his fellow Democrats lacked.

Biden gets the nod!

Barack_obama_joe_biden_82533736_2(Getty Images)
In what was the most desperate act in a seemingly never-ending series of desperate acts, Senator Barack Obama selected Senator Joe Biden of Delaware as his running mate early Saturday morning. The word from high came in the form of text message and ended several days of foreplay between Obama, the media and his followers.

The media shot their load early when they broke the story that the secret service had been dispatched to Biden’s home late Friday night. The AP confirmed shortly afterwards that Joe was in fact the man.
