Congratulations To Newlyweds Ellen And Portia, Soccer Hunk Cristiano Ronaldo Voted Ultimate Gay Icon, John Stamos Hosts Bob Saget Roast
It has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?
Name play aside, congratulations to Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi.
The two women tied the knot in Los Angeles on Saturday.
According to People.com, the nuptials were held at the couple's home and attended by 19 guests—Ellen's lovely and supportive mother Betty was there, of course, and Portia's mom Margaret Rogers traveled from Australia for the wedding.
Usmagazine.com reports that Portia wore a pink dress, while Ellen was clad in a white shirt, pants and a vest.
An onlooker tells Usmagazine.com that the two women looked ecstatic.
The pair certainly didn't waste any time getting hitched. Right after gay marriage became legal in California last May, Ellen used The Ellen Show as a forum to announce her intention to wed Portia, her girlfriend of four years.
Hopefully, we'll get to see at least some of the wedding—Ellen promised to air a portion of the nuptials on her show.
I'm curious to find out if Justin Timberlake sang at the wedding. I remember he told Ellen that he would when he was on her show.
Ellen and Portia aren't the only gay and lesbian celebrities saying "I do," by the way. Star Trek alum George Takei and his longtime partner Brad Altman plan to get married in California on September 14.
FYI: George will actually be co-hosting The Howard Stern Show next week, and Howard is throwing a gay bachelor party for him on the air.
Now that should be interesting!
Soccer Hunk Cristiano Ronaldo Voted Ultimate Gay Icon

The U.K.'s gays love you, girl, but they love soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo a little bit more. In fact, 3,000 gay men voted Cristiano, who plays for both Manchester United and the Portuguese national team, the Ultimate Gay Icon in a poll conducted by dating site Gaygolddiggers.uk.com.
Apparently, David Beckham isn't so hot anymore—he ranked a distant seventh.
John Stamos Hosts Bob Saget Roast
Did anyone else catch the Bob Saget roast hosted by John Stamos on Comedy Central last night? I can't remember a thing Stamos said because I was just mesmerized by his hotness, but I do recall Cloris Leachman killing, and even she was distracted by the gorgeous man that is John Stamos.
"I'm not here to roast Bob Saget. I'm here to f*&% John Stamos," Cloris cracked at one point.
You've gotta love Cloris.
Check out Cloris' hilarious bit:

You don't gotta love all the gay jokes -- especially when they were so not funny. There is just no excuse for that, when Saget himself has one of the funniest gay jokes by a straight comic: his song "Danny Tanner Was Not Gay," sung to the tune of the Backstreet Boys.

I did watch most of the Bob Saget roast and what began as mild amusement turned quickly to a sad ennui as I watched a large group of mainly middle aged (and beyond) men crack an unacceptable number of gay jokes. Has comedy so completely run out of ideas that in the year 2008 it essentially returns to the elementary school yard for some unimaginative name calling?
Cloris Leachman, without a doubt, was the hit of the evening. It came as no surprise that the Oscar winner performed effortlessly while only roasting and berating her targets on the stage and not the rest of us paying to watch the show.

i was wondering about the ellen/portia marriage. i know it's none of my business, but i was wondering if ellen is really a top?
bob saget's overuse of the "f bomb" sure diminished my impression of him. his "song" was pathetic.

Oh come on Mark, how do you expect a comedian named Saget to avoid it? I thought it was hilarious.

Yeah, homophobia can be kinda funny when it's clever, insightful. This just made Bob Saget look like an over-the-hill, talentless hack. It wasn't so much offensive as it was lame. It was just kinda sad... the way it's sad when you've run into an old friend somewhere and realize they musta put on 40 lbs since you last saw them... Yeah, that kinda sad.

Wow. I love the top photo. They look like such a smart couple. I love it when both lesbians are wearing pants or wearing dresses at the same time. Though, I find it ridiculous when one wears pants and one wears a dress. What's the deal with that! Trying too hard to fit Dr. Laura my man/my woman image or something? I know lesbian couples claim there are equality in their relationships but please SHOW IT, for Jebus' shake!!!!
