Pete Burns' Lips: Dead, but Fiscally Recoupable

Peteburns Dead or Alive singer and U.K. reality, um, star Pete Burns apparently has standards.

The walking train wreck, who has spent thousands and thousands of dollars on cosmetic procedures, has reportedly won his case against the "doctor" who injected polyacrylamide into his lips...with horrifying results. Burns had always looked like a cross between Cher and Marilyn Manson; now he looked like Cher, Manson and Jocelyn Wildestein. And that, my friends, was not the look he was going for.

Tara's rules of engagement

V_pickupartist_allcast_2 ("The Pickup Artist 2" cast, courtesy of VH1)

In the game of love, or even lust, many of us are losers, even those of us who are successful in all other aspects of our lives.  Maybe we have everything else, the perfect job, the nurturing home and family life, and tons of great friends; but for some reason we just can't seem to find that ideal partner who so many of us crave.

Ellen Sets Palin Straight

William Shatner Rails Against George Takei

Williamshatner William Shatner is positively bitchy in a video that finds him attacking George Takei, questioning his former Star Trek castmate's mental state and saying he feels nothing but pity for him. The Klingons were never even this brutal. It's crazy!

As everyone knows, Takei isn't a big fan of Shatner's. In fact, when the openly gay Takei, who played Mr. Sulu on Star Trek, got hitched to his longtime partner Brad Altman last month, it was reported that he made it a point to let the world know that Captain Kirk wouldn't be beaming in for the ceremony because he wasn't invited. Oh, but Takei did make sure to invite the rest of the Star Trek gang, including Mr. Spock.

Apparently, the diss got to Shatner, who made and posted a video on his site TheShatnerProject.com and YouTube in which an unidentified woman interviews him about the rift between him and Takei, and Shatner goes off.

DVD Alert: Kiss of the Spider Woman

Ksw341317_4 A Special Edition of the groundbreaking film Kiss of the Spider Woman is being released on DVD on October 21st. If you never saw the film, do yourself a favor and check it out. Not only was it the first "indie" to be nominated for an Oscar (four, to be exact), the story is somehow just as hauntingly relevant today as it was 20 years ago.

An Update On Gale Harold's Condition

Galeharold3 An update on Gale Harold's condition: Over the weekend, the Associated Press reported that the actor remains under observation in the intensive care unit at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center, but his condition is improving, and he will be moved to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center when a bed opens up.
