Season Six Of "Project Runway" Is Over: Are You Over The Show?

LeanneprfinaleCongratulations to Leanne. She beat out Korto and Kenley to win Project Runway last night.

Do you think the judges chose the best designer?

All three women—and this was the first Project Runway that all female finalists—produced amazing collections for Bryant Park.

While Kenley's work was inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Korto's was influenced by nature, and Leanne rode the wave.

Timgunnpr5 The judges, including Tim Gunn filling in for Jennifer Lopez who couldn't make it to Bryant Park because of a foot injury, clearly had their work cut out for them in my mind because I thought all of the collections were impressive.

Michael Kors said Kenley's work was full of charm, personality and spirit. But Nina Garcia pointed out that her hand-painted dress looked like it was straight out of the Balenciaga collection.

KortoprfinaleAs for Korto's collection, Michael Kors loved how she found a way to inject her heritage into the clothes without it becoming a distraction. On the negative side, Heidi Klum felt like some of the pieces were overworked.

Leanne's workmanship was divine, according to Michael Kors. Nina Garcia worried that she might be too one-note.

But in the end, Leanne's truly original approach triumphed.

She could very well be the last Project Winner we see crowned for a long time. As we've previously reported, the show's January move to Lifetime is in peril due to legal wranglings, and if it doesn't air in January, who knows how long we'll have to wait to see it again.

Of course, it has been as long as a year between seasons in the past, and we all flocked back to the show.

What do you think? Are you over Project Runway?

And while I'm posing questions, do you think this season was as good as past seasons? And were you disappointed that none of the gay guys made it to the finale three?

I am big time hooked on "Project Runaway" and find it to be the most interesting show on tv right now. I will definitely follow it over "Lifetime"!

Kato was robbed! Project runway is racist.Kato had the best overall collection and leanne's collection was all the same lame flower petal look. What they didn't say is that they think there 30 something white female demographic might not be feeling an African winning. I will never watch this show ever again.

Rich, Just because she is originaly from Africa doesn't mean they are intitled to win. Leanne had a wonderful show. With pants, shorts, jackets, and vests. An actual collection consists of swimsuit, sportswear, evening, and wedding. (With everything in between.)

Also Leanne's design, if you watched the first part of the finale, was consistant with her concept of Ocean and Waves. Wonderful job of keeping to that theme.

One thing that was really good about this show was that they didn't actually buy a bolt of fabric for most of the pieces....like Cloe did in season 2.

I felt that the group this season, although talented, was just not on par with the gang from seasons 3 and 4. Granted, my knowledge of high fashion is limited, but I do know when I am being entertained and this season it just plumb wasn't cutting it for me sometimes, damn you.

The final runway show in seasons past had great showmanship from the likes of Jeffrey and Christian and some others. They simply knew how to create designs that were pleasing to the eye. For some reason I felt that this year just somehow had less ... pop. Michael Kors would call it "that wow factor."

And going by the comments from the judges before the final three, you could see that they were clearly not wowed by African Waves in Wonderland.

Therefore, I heartily implore the Bravo producers to bring back the gay male designers, damn you! (Actually Jeffrey was not gay so I guess just bring back the male designers, damn you!)

Damn you!

Maya brings up some excellent points.

However, I would like to broach a different area, namely, the editing. Was I the only one that felt the heavy hand of the producers in many of the episodes?

Specifically, I felt they were a tad overzealous in aggravating the conflict between Kenley and everyone else.

Yes, she acted like a bratty little girl after being praised for her backtalk by Diane Von Furstenberg. But we all know how hard being part of a tugboat captain's family really is, it almost goes without saying.

Nevertheless, I felt that all the producers needed to do was take her aside and give her a sound spanking and she would've been fine. Instead, they aslj;gdjaksgj on second thought i don't care the season is over, who cares. let us never speak of it again.

Don't you mean season 5?

I think Cato should have won. None of those other girls were as creative and unique as her. She does not design gowns that everyone else makes. She has her own style. Even the judges said Cato was the best choice for a winner. Unfortunately they did not choose her. It was a big let down and I was very pissed. I don't think the judges are racist, I mean Heidi is married to Seal.

leanne deserved to win. race has nothing to do with this show!!! Project runway is the most open minded show on tv right now! Fashion knows no color, it knows design!!!! I personally hope that runway sticks around for quite some time I will definitely follow wherever it goes!!!

I think Kenley should have won...while none of them were as talented as previous seasons, the wave thing was so boring...Cato was interesting but not outstanding...the best thing was the green dress, but it's about a collection, not one dress

I love Project Runway! I hope that it stays with Bravo and continues or does some reunion challenges with all the previous designers that would be awesome or make the winners out for another challenge or some type of that scheme. I watch it if it did move to life time but i personally think it would not be the same without Heidi Klum

I will never watch project runway again!!!! Korto was the best designer! she had to win!

i can't wait season seven to be aired on tv. unfortunately it will not be on bravo, but on lifetime, which i think is a bit sucks...cuz bravo is an open mined channel, unlike liftetime, which is somewhat a conservative channel. but anyhow for season six winner, i think leanne stood out; her designs were very intriguing.

You niggers always think everything is all "raciyss n sheeit."
