"Ugly Betty" Stars Urge the Latino Community to Vote "No" on Prop 8
Ugly Betty stars America Ferrera, Tony Plana and Ana Ortiz are featured in a Spanish language television ad urging the Latino community to vote "No" on Prop 8:
For those who do not speak Spanish, here is the translation:
"Voting no on Prop 8 is not just about gay rights,” said America Ferrera. “It’s about preserving the integrity of equal rights in this country. This is not about being gay or straight, it’s about being American. Vote no on Prop 8.”
"Family is very important to Latinos,” said Tony Plana. “Prop 8 discriminates against families and everything we stand for. I encourage all Californians to vote NO on this divisive and unfair proposition."
"Like all Americans, Latinos have family members and friends who are gay and deserve the same rights all of us have,” said Ana Ortiz. “Prop 8 would take away those rights and that's why we urge all Californians to vote NO."
America...America's is our chubby latin guest star for the next 15 seconds & happens to know English very well. I do hope the No on Prop 8 team find more creditible latinas to translate for them soon because America used to say no to carbs and we see that didn't last. Maybe Lindsay Lohan could help America's career a little by guest staring...Oh wait...she just DID!! Then, America got mad & dipped a production assistant in gravy for lunch. Too bad Linday's lean mass makes America look bigger than Asia.

Keep universal human rights for everyone. Marriage is not a fundamental human right for some, but all. www.northernvox.com

Wow, that was completely the most useless comment I've seen on any message board in, like, the last month or so.
