I just pray that there will be no more terrifying glitter sieges on evangelical churches like this one in Michigan: http://urbzen.com/2008/11/12/glitter-oh-the-humanity/

The horror, the horror!

That was an awesome interview. Dan Savage is so quick and on-the-cuff and smart too. I love it.

i love dan savage! his quick wit and sage commentary are refreshing. he knows how to walk the fine line between humor and profundity. if you enjoyed him on colbert, look up his appearances on realtime with bill maher...love him!

The video isn't working...

Dear Dan, recently I saw you on an interview with DL. Hugely. While I was very impressed with your passion for equal rights I was also very angry and disappointed. My anger is not directed at you but rather the Gay community who says, "WHERE ARE THE BLACK GAYS AND WHY AREN'T THEY MORE VISIBLE?" Dan I am a Bishop and I pastor two churches in two different cities in California. This week I practically walked the soles off my shoes going to newspapers, magazines (both gay and straight) trying to get something published about Prop 8 from a Black Gay perspective. I am not surprised at the Black community for not wanting to publish it because it aired much of their dirty laundry, but I am surprised at my white gay brothers who didn't even lift a finger to help me (something that seems to happen allot in the gay community)!
I am so frustrated with trying to solicit help from the gay community as I battle discrimination until I have decided to give up all together and appeal to my straight black brothers for help. The gay community does not understand that if they are going to ever reverse Prop 8 - they need the expertise and advice from African-American gays in the community, perhaps you can enlighten them.

With a grateful heart,
Bishop T. Angel Mason
