A new year and new news! I'm so thankful its 2009 because now we can get on with our lives. Now the media can find new stories to beat into our heads and, of course, there will be different deceased celebrities to tell us we should morn. Sure, I am touched when I hear an actor or journalist I enjoyed has died, but is it necessary to make it a national event? Why are we subjected to repeated stories about Stars who have died? Maybe the rest of our community can join me in reality. If they aren't your family or friend....put your big boy pants on and get over it!

Thank you for posting these clips I have enjoyed seen them. Thou most Celebs don't know us as in our day to day life, we have invited them in to our hearts and lives! So with my big boy pants on I have taken a moment to reflect on the lives of some of these great personalitys that I enjoyed over the years and wish thier Spirits well in there new endevors.

400 killed in Gaza.

Thousands murdered in Iraq.

Wars rage for limited resources around the world as the population grows and grows.

The US has the largest military budget, more than every other country on Earth, COMBINED, with billions being spent on war every month.

Celebrity death is news in the US.

To queerplanet above, life goes on and yes, there are some heavy duty worldwide drama to pay attention to, but I hope we are not so dull that we can't focus on other less important things from time to time. I see nothing wrong with a pop culture piece on celebrities that passed in the last year.

These clips were great! I'll miss all these folks. Harvey Korman and George Carlin more than the others. So funny! It's HEADLY!

Hey Queerplanet -- why dont you make your resolution to stop clicking on stories you don't care about? Seriously, head off to CNN and complain there. Its time for you to lighten up, guy. I am sick of seeing your insane posts on this site.

Happy New Year to everyone else!

Movie stars and our social celebrities are for us what the royal family is for the British... Now the difference of them, and what makes it important for us is their work, not only in entertainment, but also in humanitarian work during the time they were alive... That is why we commemorate the lives and work of those who left us... they are role models of our society and invites us to be better men and women... We also commemorate every death of our soldiers... and what is much more important, we have the right to mourn WHOEVER WE WANT, that's why we are free... if we are going to talk about reality check i would ask about how much do you do for the humanity... do you help your neighbor? i hope so...

I have some interest in the imminent demise of gay.com (ticker LGBT). Will some sort of quality replace it?

It's a new year and I have to get something off my chest. A person named queerplanet comments all the time on these articles and I am sick of it.

To this entertainment-related post, he actually commented this:

"400 killed in Gaza.

Thousands murdered in Iraq.

Wars rage for limited resources around the world as the population grows and grows.

The US has the largest military budget, more than every other country on Earth, COMBINED, with billions being spent on war every month.

Celebrity death is news in the US."

Dude -- you need a reality check. You clicked on a story that is ENTERTAINMENT and on a blog called GAY ENTERTAINMENT.

As a reader of this site, I notice your posts everywhere and I for one -- actually, I have noticed other people's posts about this -- am sick of you.

You leave these pathetic "please someone pay attention to my opinion" comments on posts that are completely irrelevant to the story you have chosen to click on. Gaza? Deaths? Dude, you posted that on a fucking post about George Carlin and Harvey Fucking Korman! What is your exact...um, goal here, exactly?

It would be like my clicking on a story about Iraq on CNN and posting a comment that says:

"Iraq? Do these people not even know that Pam Anderson just had a lesbian relationship with Lindsay Lohan? Oh god, you are all so lame for talking about the war while so much more important stuff is going on."

Queerplanet, do you see how sad and fucked up your logic even is?

Also, the last time I checked, this site had several channels, and one was called "NEWS." Have you ever clicked on that channel? Cuz I can assure you, me and about 5,000 other gay men are sick of your shit when we're trying to ENJOY entertainment.

Oh -- and why, I want to know, do you not have an email address so those of us who are sick of you can actually write to you?

Sick of your shit dude -- please quit this site and go to a site more, um, "intelligent" for a loser like you. Seriously, thanks for spoiling my watching the amazing Suzanne Pleshette clip. Want to talk to me? Shoot me an email -- I'd love to take your negative, sad ass on. Bring it on, fat ass.

Too bad you left out Jo Stafford.... one of the last great big band and post WWII era vocalists...

Way to give it to queerplanet, whoever you are! I almost quit this site because I felt so tainted and dirty by his negativity. I'm all about positivity, and I come to this site for entertainment. Last time I checked, that was my god given right. Its his right too to leave comments, but seriously -- what the fuck is up with his?

I am glad you stood up. I imagine he must be a low-level man at a low-level job, and maybe commenting the way he does makes him feel special or, I don't know, more important in some way? But for him to not realize his posts take the joy out of the articles for the rest of us? He must be a sad man.

My best wishes to him in 2009, for real. I mean, he clearly needs help to get that anger out of him.

My best wishes to the person who spoke out against him. Your standing up for the rest of us is cool.

Cheers Everyone !!!
Isn't it a beautiful day in our neighborhood?

Welcome to BITCH FEST 1-01
2009

1st 100 at the door get to BITCH ALL YEAR LONG for free.
OMG Sorry ... My bad ... I am a temporary Smart Ass!
All for roughly a dollar a week.
But don't worry I will drop out of this NO Class 1/2 ASS Act Soon.

Who would want to "Come Out the Closet" to this?
No wonder GAY suicide stats will always be high.
DAMN IT!!! WILL ONE OF YOU HELP ME FIND MY CLOSET,...
THROW ME IN IT,...
VAULT LOCK IT, & THROW AWAY THE KEY?

And for the Forever Mother Load Lovin' Fear of God ...

All the other world's problems for the most is beyond our control anyway.

Everone's New Year's Resolution from all colors of the Rainbow,Gay or straight, should start today by making thw word GAY happy again.

As far as for Isreal & Palistinians, let them rid themselves of each other for the rest of us.
They've been fighting for 1000s of years.
Let them rid themselves so we can Evolve.
The Jews Clearly are not "God's Chosen People".
They didn't ruin Christmas for me this year.

OH by the way...

Happy New Year's
I am suprised that some stupid Queen didn't bitch that someone who possibly represented our "Gay" Community who died didn't make the this list.
But Heath is 1st only because he is the cutest. I am not the one mention it in disrespect.
And Anderson Cooper Sucks!!!

Too many queens , not enough Kingdoms. You boys need to get a facial or something.
Anyhoo.. we lost some of the "lookers" this year, some of the trailblazers, and some great supporters(insert joke here).
Of these all, we reminisce, but we also sober up at losses that came way way too early.
And I do hope AC sucks, I would love to be looking down into those baby blues. Now please, everyone respect a mans space as he works to achieve his dreams.
