Does Gale Harold Have A Future On "Desperate Housewives?"
Is Gale Harold going to return to Desperate Housewives?
That's the question that everyone has been asking in the wake of an October motorcycle accident that left the actor, who we first came to know and love on Queer As Folk, hospitalized with swelling on the brain and a fractured shoulder.
While we had heard that Gale was going to make a full recovery, which was a relief, we weren't getting a lot of details as to how long that recovery might take and whether we would see him on Desperate Housewives again anytime soon.
Series creator Marc Cherry reportedly had left the door wide open for Gale to come back, but then E! Online recently claimed that the situation wasn't looking promising for his return to the show. In fact, a source told E! Online that Gale was "majorly injured," adding, "I don't believe he'll be coming back."
But now comes word from E! Online that Gale just visited the Desperate Housewives set to loop some scenes.
Some more evidence that Gale is on the mend and might be able to get back to work sooner rather than later: The actor was recently spotted sitting in the audience at a performance of The Little Dog Laughed at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles, according to Bay Windows.
Elsewhere, USA Today caught up with some of the actresses from Desperate Housewives at a recent Hollywood function. Dana Delany told the newspaper that Gale was "on the mend," and Felicity Huffman chimed in, "From what I understand, he's getting better and better, so it's all good news on that front." According to Felicity, Gale's alter ego Jackson is going to "throw a monkey wrench" into upcoming stories on the show, so clearly the producers still have plans for him.
We'll continue to update you on this story as information comes in. Feel free to use this forum to send Gale your well wishes for his continued recovery.

Good to heal that Gale is mending well...I really hope he still has a job on DH when he recovers, because he is one hell of a good actor and not bad looking either LOL. Anyways, Gale, if you're reading this, stay strong, get well soon, and if you ever ride a motorcycle again (as I do), get a full face helmet and those high-impact suits to wear when riding, you don't want to risk death or disfiguring that hot body of yours again LOL. Take care.

I'm glad to hear that Gale is on the mend. He's always been one of my favorite actors, especially when he was on Folk. He's really come a long way. I'm glad to know that even though his accident was serious, that it didn't take his life. He's a very strong individual, and hope that he makes a speedy and full recovery. Good luck to you Gale. Hope to see you back on Housewives. Also one of my fav. shows.

Regardless of what you think of his past shows, acting, etc., anyone being in a bad accident is a horrible thing. My family wishes him a speedy and full recovery.

Gale, glad to hear you're out and about, doing what you love: seeing a play, easing back into work. Enjoy the holidays, mend well and thoroughly, and then knock our sox off when you're ready. You've made Jackson fun to watch! (And pay no attention to todd. His..umm.., HEART is 3 sizes too small.)

Although I know Mr. Harold will not read as a fellow biker (since 1978)I would like to welcome you to the "HAVE-HAD" motorcycle riders club. This is an exclusive club for bikers that have had a trip to the hospital because of a wreck on your ride! The world is divided into two types of bikers: Have-Nots and Have-Hads. If you ride a motorcyle long enuf your gonna have a trip to the hospital. Scrapes, bruises, roadrash, and other ouchies/owweees don't count. There must be ambulances, emergency + medical personal involved. So Mr. Gale Howard welcome to the unoffical HAVE-HADS!! Your are now in the brotherhood of the wounded ..WOO HOO! LOL Live to ride and ride to live!

Glad to hear you are on the mend to recovery. You have been a fan of mine every since you played on queer as folks. It would be a loss to me and a lot of others if something bad was to happen to you.

Gale,
If your reading this or these comments are being forwarded to you know that since hearing of your accident you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I didn't know of your work until I saw you on Folk. Since then I have seen other theatrical works you have appeared in and I must say, "Behind the good looks and beautiful smile is a very fine actor." Take care to heed the doctors advice, take care of your body, mind, and soul first and everything else will fall into place. Hope to see you back to work soon.
Sincerely,
