What Did You Think Of "Dexter" Finale?

Michaelchall1 Is anyone else out there a fan of Dexter? And does anyone else out there think that Dexter is the sexiest serial killer ever?

I am obsessed with this show and the character that Michael C. Hall plays to perfection. Seriously, who knew a serial killer could be so hot and so deep?

Last night marked the show's third season finale, and I'm going to talk about what happened. So if you Tivo'd the show and didn't watch it yet and don't want any of the surprises ruined, stop reading this entry now.

The return of "The Blue Lagoon"'s Christopher Atkins

From the quaint, quiet, little town of Rye, New York to the mean "Streets of San Francisco" to a trio of cult film classics "The Blue Lagoon" (1980), "The Pirate Movie" (1982), and "A Night in Heaven" (1983), Christopher Atkins went from lifeguard and sailing instructor to superstar actor almost overnight. With his curly blond locks, infectious smile and bronzed body, 19-year-old Atkins was tailor-made for his most enduring role as teen heartthrob.

Saying goodbye to the late, great Bettie Page

Bettypagedvd_2Legendary 1950s pin-up queen Bettie Page has passed away. She died in a Los Angeles hospital from pneumonia last week at the age of 85.

I cannot tell you how many of my gay male friends wanted to be her, and how many of my lesbian friends wanted to sleep with her.

A one of a kind brunette beauty and one of America's first sex icons, Bettie was part girl-next store, part bondage babe, combining the two to portray the wholesomeness of the 1950s and with a sexuality that wasn't generally on public display in those days.

Bettie's work ultimately played a role in ushering in the sexual revolution of the 1960s, and these days her image is still seen on everything from lighters to shot glasses.

Coming Out: Our 15 Minutes

Coming_out_82903666 A new reality show being developed by Showtime will document a complex and varied gay rite of passage: coming out. The pilot is being produced by Bryn Freedman, who also serves as executive producer of A&E's "Intervention". In each episode, a person will bust open the closet door during a group meeting surrounded by friends and family. In addition the show will dig into why the person has remained closeted and why they are choosing to come out now and in this way. (Dramatics, anyone?) The ways in which the event impacts and changes the person’s relationships with those that hear the news will also be documented.

Prop 8 Drives Brad Pitt "Mental"

Bradpitt1 Brad Pitt is on the cover of the current issue of Rolling Stone, and in addition to chatting about his new movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Angie and the kids, of course, he bemoans the passage of Prop 8, telling the magazine, "I get enraged when people start telling other people how to live their lives. It drives me mental. This Prop 8 thing just drives me mental."

Brad doesn't just talk a good game, by the way. Back in September, he gave $100,000 to Californians Against Eliminating Basic Rights, a group fighting against the passage of the gay marriage ban in California. At the time, his donation to the cause was the largest to come from a celebrity, and it was heralded as a move that would inspire other wealthy figures in the entertainment industry to open up their wallets.

Jon Stewart Schools Huckabee on Gay Marriage

OK, forget Dan Savage and Keith Olbermann's histrionics: Jon Stewart broke it down on last night's "The Daily Show" so geniusly that he once again makes a claim to being the strongest voice of reason and gay rights out there.

Guess Which TV Shows Are Going XXX?

Galeharold Have you ever had dirty thoughts while watching re-runs of The Cosby Show?

Me neither.

Still, according to porn industry journal AVN.com, porn producer X-Play is making a parody of The Cosby Show titled Not The Cosbys XXX. No word on whether pudding pops will play a major role in the film, which reportedly has a "mainstream actor" mimicking Bill Cosby's Dr. Cliff Huxtable.
