Actually, ATWT had another gay character more than 20 years ago although the characters name slips my mind (Hank?). He was Barbara's assistant who's lover was dying of AIDS. ATWT had one of the first gay characters although this time around we actually get to see the characters living life.

hmmmmm....
well the way i look it this is tame.
Tame in comparison to some of the love scenes between straight people.
I don't watch the show either but I do think that this is a decent start.
I know that introducing these kind of things into the main stream will help broaden people's minds.
there will always be some who will refuse to see the love.
