Neil Patrick Harris Hosts "SNL" This Weekend, And Liza Makes A Cameo
There are two big reasons to watch Saturday Night Live this weekend: Neil Patrick Harris and Liza Minnelli! Neil will host the show (Taylor Swift is the musical guest), while Liza will make a brief appearance. According to Liza's official Web site, her cameo will be a walk-on as part of a sketch. This will mark the first time Liza has ever graced SNL with her presence. Meanwhile, it is the first time Neil has ever hosted the show.
As for the sketches, MTV actually attended a rehearsal for the show this week and saw a sketch that finds Neil playing David Frost in a spoof of the film Frost/Nixon. That said, there is no guarantee that particular sketch will make it to air. I, for one, cannot wait to see how Neil does in his debut stint as SNL's host. I am sure he'll be a hoot—he cracks me up on How I Met Your Mother, and he has had plenty of experience in front of live audiences, having done a lot theater, including a stint on Broadway in Assassins. This is actually going to be an exciting weekend for Neil. In addition to hosting SNL, he is up for a Golden Globe Award for best supporting actor for his work on How I Met Your Mother where he plays charming womanizer Barney Stinson. FYI: The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air this Sunday on NBC beginning at 8 p.m. EST. Good luck at the Globes, Neil! Are you looking forward to seeing Neil—not to mention Liza—on SNL? And do you think he'll cap off the weekend by winning a Golden Globe?

Neil is a very personable actor. He has participated in Broadway fundraisers for the New York City Gay Community Center among other activities. He singing voice, his comedy, and his actiing shows how truly versatile Neil is. (Well, as an actor, that is. You'd have to ask his boyfriend about anything else, though that is rather personal.)

It doesn't say anywhere in the article that the sketches on SNL had anything to do about being gay.
Why does it have to?
Just because he is OUT Gay doen't mean everything he does especially in his chosen Career has to be.
That is what makes him an OK Actor, But not enough to win the Golden Globe.
Who gives a left nut about Liza.
Is it a STUPID RULE that we have to like her because we are gay?
ENOUGH! She is like sooo last Milenium!
If it wasn't for her mother she probably wouldn't have had the chance to get to where she is in life right now.
Same goes for Anderson Cooper winning the Best Dressed Gay.
After all isn't his Mommy Gloria Vanderbelt?

I remember the good old days when SNL was worth watching, it used to have great writing and talented performers, now it is so painfully bad,...worse than Liza Minnelli's singing since her stroke.

WHOW .......... I can see your glasses are half empty dudes. Liza looks beautiful and her voice has a depth and breadth of experience that comes with life and that is what makes it so very rich. And Neil is one other reason for everyone to be so proud to be gay; we are in good stead. Wake up everyone........these are the good old days, without the filter of time, so enjoy them.

you know......... I really hate it when the gays insult someone...... I really do ! They are so hated, and then again, they turn around and hate someone else. always a negative remark and running someone else down. The remark on lisa was really uncalled for ! Now you wonder why people don't like you??? smart ass !
Everyone has their story and their life, including yourself, so don't run someone else down because you haven't lived in their shoes ok?? Be more positive and try to compliment people, no matter what they are, and who they are. Gays are always looking for fault in anyone, or anything. Not a good move ! People should be appreciated for what and who they are, and not what you want them to be. It is their life not yours, ok?? Appreciate them.

I'd like to see you on stage and listen or read all the negative feedback on you. How would you like that?? People running you down, and they don't even know you ! I think this thing was for the gays and all the gays did was run them down. How sad. Now you wonder why people hate you. If you really want to be liked.... love all, and set the example. we all have our faults, no one is perfect. why don't you give a compliment ??...........I would really hate to read the comments on you in bed ! would you like that???? I think it's all jealosy however it's spelled. All people of all races, and of all cultures must be seen as who they are,not what you would like them to be. It's the evil ones that we must condemn. These are the reasons our country is in such danger. If you don't support them, they will no longer be in business. Do this for your country and this world. It's so sad that I can't live in peace because of the crime. It's all because of the people buying drugs. You people keep these peoplel in business. If you quit buying it, the world will be a safer place to live in. Let's all get together and spread my message. Let's walk down any street and be at peace. It's the drugs that are killing everyone. Go to any website, or whatever and get everyone to stop the buying of drugs ok?? let's all chip in and clean this country up. Turn in all drug dealers to the cops. Let's get back to the days where we don't have to lock our doors anymore and don't have to worry about being robbed, or our car being stolen,or a victom of a shooting. If we all work together on this we can solve the problem. Please help all of us. we can do it! go to any site you wish to and give them the message. No more drugs. Because it's a comedy show on which they sometimes make attempts at humor. That's what he was doing. And after he mentioned his girlfriend, in the same bit he said something like, "But that was quite a long time ago."
