Pretty blood boy: Robert Pattinson
Of all the myriad heartthrobs gaining fame from their roles in the smash vampire flick "Twilight," the ethereal Robert Pattinson -- as the lonely and tortured bloodsucker Edward Cullen -- has emerged as the fastest rising star among them. But is the 22-year-old copper-haired Robert all that hot? You be the judge! But let's weigh the pros and cons of Brit's most popular blood boy's appeal (or lack of it) before you make your decision.
Sexy, haunting and hot OR pasty, gaunt and creepy?
Robert could be the love child of fey Jeremy Irons and scarily gorgeous Angelina Jolie. He's got Jeremy's pale skin (too much time in London fog?) and the superhuman (practically extraterrestrial) beauty of Angelina, even without the cat's eye contact lenses he wore for the movie. But he also has a magnetism and broodingly sexy energy that's all his own.
Andro-creep OR Andro-chic?
Robert has said himself on the end of his modeling career: "When I first started [modeling] I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy ... "
The red lips, the porcelain skin, the cheekbones that could cut glass -- you have to admit that Robert is the quintessential pretty boy, whether you like the type or not. But he's shown by chopping off his gorgeous signature locks and adopting a fresh new buzz cut that he has a butcher side to him. Still, does his slight frame make you want to say, "Please, eat a cookie!" And if so, would you want to feed it to him?
One-Hit Wonder OR Star on the rise?
His movie "Twilight" earned almost $36 million on its opening day alone and has gone on to gross $280 million worldwide to date, since its release, thanks in part to Robert's presence, but is love from all the "Twi-hards" out there enough to keep the rest of us craving more from the young actor, or will his career simply die away in a way that his "Twilight" character can't? Let us know in the comment field below what you think about Robert Pattinson. The sun is rising, Judgment Day has arrived, and YOU hold the gavel.

I think Rob has an exquisite actor/musician, and has so much class ***it radiates in all his films, I want someone to get him and oscar/golden globes nomination ASAP, he has the star power to go beyond the stars!!!!!!

He seems like a good kid & he has this focus about him.
I have seen a couple of his interviews & he seems like a nice kid with a positive outlook & a good sense of humor.
Most brits are level headed & I don't think all his THE LATEST HOT THING will go to his head.
But if it does, he will not last long.

And he has nice hair even though it doesn't look Raven Black in any of these pictures, which would make him naturally that much hotter & bring his squinty eyes out, they look a different color in each of these pics.

Do people forget that he was Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter 4? Twilight isn't his first movie, just his first lead role...

i think he's atrocious...

okay i am a huge fan of the Twilight books. the reason everyone is obsessed with Robert Pattinson is because he is Edward. they could have picked anyone to be Edward and everyone would still be obsessed over him. personally i think Emmit is WAYY hotter. but thats just me.

Eh- I'm impartial, if he hit on me at the club, I'd probably tell him to cut his hair and wear some clothes that fit him, then I'd consider a date... even then, it's only a consideration.

He's hot, in our out of vampire drag, no matter what he's not wearing, or what color his hair is! WHY bring that Frankenstein monster, Angelina Jolie into it?? She's HIDEOUS, and REALLY un-natural!
Posted by: Steven | January 15, 2009 at 12:19 AM
I think he would look great in Drag!!!

I have to say Kellan Lutz looks much better than Pattinson does. This is just my opinion, but outside of Edward Pattinson isn't that hot.

Robert Pattinson has IT. Whatever IT is, it lured me to see...mmm, maybe 20 viewings of Twilight. Bestowed with the beauty of Adonis, Pattinson is a sort of neurotic, broodingly sexy boy blessed with intelligence, charming wit, and an irresistible magnetism. Will he go further than Twilight? I think he has done in some of the minor films he's played so far, and the future holds good things for him. I think he's choosy about his roles.

I would do him.

I think he does have more potential than catering to the teenage scene and I think he is the gaunt, pasty and creepy.

Lap it up while you can. Once the "Twilight" series of movies makes their way into irrelevance, nobody will remember who he is. And for the rest of his career, he'll be fighting so hard against the spectre of Edward, that he'll never emerge as a true star.
Plus, he's too young, too thin, and I would probably like him more if he actually washed his hair once in a while. What? How else do you think he keeps that stuff sticking up all the time?

I do react strongly to him, but I didn't when HP came out, so that leaves me to believe that I am attracted to his personality more from the gazillion interviews I have seen of him (very intelligent, soulful, charming, shy etc) and so now his looks have improved as a result ( to me). As for his acting, well I don't think Twilight (and its horrible screenwriting) is the venue for us to see what his true potential is, perhaps when the other two movies come out...either way, we have yet to see him at his acting best. So its up to him to choose the right roles to allow us to see it!!!

with everything in life, all good things must come to an end. once the Twilight movies are done and over, in my opinion, it will be "Robert who?" I agree that everyone took a shine to him because he's Edward, n one really got that worked up when he played Diggory in HP...did they?
I don't think we've seen the last of him and maybe, just maybe he'll be up there with Sean Connery. the man's 300 yrs old, but still a stud. LoL

Uh, I don't think I'll be slobbering over him, especially when another gay Internet website reported that he said he would have to "shoot himself" if he had men 'stalking' him.

I just watched the movie last night and I fold in love with him !!!

Rob Pattinson makes me squee!!! like a preteen at a Jonas Brothers' Concert. FYI - I loved him as Cedric Diggory. Twilight was good, but not THAT good as a film- Rob was amazing, plus he can sing! I can't wait to see him in more serious films, like "Little Ashes"

Is he gay?

I greatly enjoyed the movie and I think he did magnificently in the role. I have no idea what world people live in that think he is too young and too thin -- I think he is just right, and a joyful fantasy of something I will never have or be again.
He is magnificent. He was already in other movies, and he will go far.
Kind thoughts

I'm 42 and I watched Twilight a few nights ago, and have done nothing but obsess about the AMAZINGLY beautiful Pattinson and his perfect portrayal of Edward Cullen. What a gaze...what a brooding stare...what great acting. Just before reading this post I was thinking about how much I look forward to his career after Twilight which is going to blast off. This kid is a STAR.
