First Look: Grey Gardens
HBO has released the official trailer for the April 18th broadcast of Grey Gardens. Based on the lives that inspired the Maysles Brothers' classic documentary, the new film tells the story of "Big Edie" Beale (Jessica Lange) and her daughter "Little Edie" (Drew Barrymore), who forged a unique bond while living in a ramshackle East Hampton mansion.
HBO's site includes exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews here.
Also, fans of "Little" and "Big" Edie Beale should check out the revamped Grey Gardens Online site. It serves as the premiere resource for all things Grey Gardens -- including extensive information on the Maysles' documentary, Broadway musical, and HBO movie.
One of the best new editions to the site is the "MemoraBEALEia" section featuring a huge assortment of rare collectibles and artifacts for die-hard fans. Among other features are a database of obscure quotations, interviews with Beale friends and family, and biographies of major players in the "GG" world.

OMG, this looks amazing! Barrymore as an old frump at last! This is clearly the role she was born to play and she will win the emmy for it. I love this story because it's so brutally honest - something a LOT of self-centered young people need to see. Doesn't matter how rich or beautiful or popular we start out - we ALL fall apart and end up old, crazy, embarrassing...and ALONE! Can't wait to see this.

In consideration of who these 2 ladies were related to, it's amazing that their relatives allowed things to deteriorate so badly around them. Family should have stepped in once in a while, if only to clean things up.

Dear 2nd Hand. Family DID step in to help them with money and a thorough cleaning and rehab of
Grey Gardens. Specifically Jackie O.
