Eminem Gets A Face Full Of Bruno

Eminen got a face full of Bruno's crotch during the MTV Movie Awards last night.

As you'll see in the clip below, Bruno, Sacha Baron Cohen's gay Austrian fashionista alter ego, soared above the audience dressed as an angel. Or maybe he was a bird. In any case, he was wearing wings—and not much else.

Suddenly, Bruno took a nosedive, landing face first in Eminem's lap.

Eminem—never shy about celebrating homophobia in his music—freaked out, and after his posse helped get him out from underneath Bruno's balls, the rapper, who earlier in the show performed two cuts off his comeback album Relapse, stormed out of the auditorium.

Was Eminem in on the joke? He certainly could have been, but then again, maybe he wasn't. After all, Sacha Baron Cohen is famous for ambushing and humiliating people.

Is Sasha Cohen (sp?) isn't gay and Eminem isn't gay, how does this reflect the gay community if no one gay was involved? Also, everyone either praises or condemns the gay community. And I disagree that Eminem got what he deserved and all the other negative commentary posted so far. Yes, Eminem has "homophobic" lyrics. A product of his environment, being "soft" is not in his nature and not what lies within the pool of inspiration he draws from.

Remember, for all the homophobia that we can criticize him for, as an artist, he was accepting enough to perform a duet with Elton John in an earlier broadcast awards program. Heck, if it really were a problem for that matter, Elton wouldn't have done it himself.

As an artist, he is who he is and we need to learn to respect his differing opinions though we may not agree.

More importantly though, as a person, we need to respect his boundaries. He is not comfortable being so "close" to gay men. He doesn't have the straight plague same as we do not have the gay plague.

Sacha Cohen is himself defaming our community with his lampoon. It goes beyond just a stereotype when he gets aggressive with people. Cohen got aggressive when he failed to respect a person's space. Eminem or other - it does not matter who - its about respect for EVERYONE EQUALLY.

I am far more offended by the gay portrayal than I am that Eminem or anyone was acosted and offended in this action.

If more gay men had pussy thrust in thier faces, maybe they would see Eminem as more of an individual and human being. Gay is not the xchosen people - there are no chosen people. All equal. All respected.

Eminem is a rapper and they use strong language. Just cuz the guy uses the word "fag" here and there, doesn't make him homophobic. It's a style of music where worlds are used for effect.

And the way I heard it, not only was he "accepting" enough to perform with Elton, he was apparently quite overwhelmed that Elton was willing to perform with him.

If you listen to his new record and hear past the expletives and the shocking imagery, then you'll know there's a real person in there.
