Bravo Casting Call!

Artist Bravo's latest stroke on the reality canvas will be an hour long creative competition series among contemporary artists. The "Untitled Art Project" will bring together thirteen aspiring artists to compete for a gallery show, a cash prize and a sponsored national tour. Open calls for artists interested in competing in this new competition series will be held in cities across the country starting in July.

In each episode of the series, contestants will create unique pieces highlighting art's role in everyday life, while they compete and create in a range of disciplines including sculpture, painting, photography and industrial design (to name a few).  In working beyond their preferred mediums, artists will have to adapt quickly in order to succeed. Completed works of art will be appraised by a panel of top art world figures including fellow artists, gallerists, collectors, curators and critics.  The finalists' work will be showcased in a nation-wide museum tour.

Clay Aiken Has Nothing To Say To Kathy Griffin

Clay_aiken

It's probably a safe bet to say that Clay Aiken won't be one of the celebrities who pops up on the upcoming season of Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.

That's because Clay apparently doesn't want to have anything to do with Kathy, E! Online's Marc Malkin reports.

Kathy, who famously referred to Clay as "the Gayken" in her standup act long before he came out, tells Marc that she wanted to make good with Clay and decided to go for it when they were both backstage during the broadcast of Rosie Live! "I held up one of those ghetto blasters playing one of Clay's songs, and I begged him to take me back and he said no," Griffin says. "And then I walked out of the room, and Gloria Estefan said to me, 'I told ya. You shouldn't have gone in there alone.' "

Kathy Griffin Commits To A Fifth Season Of "D-List"

Kathy_griffin_bravo Bravo may have lost Project Runway, but the network is holding on tight to Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, which is a relief.

There was actually some question as to whether the inimitable Kathy Griffin would do a fifth season of D-List for Bravo. While the network claimed back in September that it had locked Kathy into a deal, she subsequently told the Chicago Sun-Times that she hadn't come to terms with Bravo and was in fact talking to another cable network as well as a broadcast network.

Obviously, things ultimately worked out with Bravo because just today the network announced that it has indeed signed Kathy to a one-year deal, which she confirms, and it includes a fifth season of Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List and calls for her to tape two comedy specials during her current nationwide tour as well as host the A-List Awards in 2009.

"Top Chef" Is Back: Did Last Night's Season Premiere Sizzle Or Fizzle?

Topchefpatrickjamierichard Top Chef added a little spice to its cast with a trio of gay and lesbian chefs as we saw on last night's fifth season premiere.

I love how Richard, Patrick and Jamie quickly bonded and dubbed themselves "Team Rainbow." Wasn't it great to see gay people supporting each other on one of these shows as opposed to being catty? (By the way, I visited the Bravo site after the show, and the network is actually selling a Team Rainbow t-shirt!)

I wasn't the only one who loved Team Rainbow: Bravo did a text poll during the show, asking whether people were rooting for Team Rainbow or the Euro Duo (made up of Fabio, the Italian chef, and Finnish chef Stefan), and Team Rainbow won by a landslide, raking in seventy percent of the vote.

I have to admit that Team Rainbow's Richard is my favorite chef. This cuddly bear of a guy made me laugh right out of the gate when he quipped, "Of course, the inner queen inside me is screaming to know, 'Where's Padma? And what is she wearing?' "

Season Six Of "Project Runway" Is Over: Are You Over The Show?

LeanneprfinaleCongratulations to Leanne. She beat out Korto and Kenley to win Project Runway last night.

Do you think the judges chose the best designer?

All three women—and this was the first Project Runway that all female finalists—produced amazing collections for Bryant Park.

While Kenley's work was inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Korto's was influenced by nature, and Leanne rode the wave.

Kanye Said What?, Did "Project Runway" Judges Select The Best Final Three?

Apparently, Ellen DeGeneres is Kanye West's fashion idol. Did anyone see him on The Ellen DeGeneres Show? He actually went on and on about Ellen's great style, telling all the guys in the audience, "No, but seriously, this is, like of the people that you should look at whenever you're trying to figure out how to put an outfit together, especially for guys."

Motioning to Ellen's ensemble, he added, "I would completely wear this right here."

Ellen was in stitches, and so was I.

Who’s On Their Way to Bryant Park?

Project_runway_finalists_2 (All images Bravo TV)
So we're down to the final four in this week's episode of Project Runway and soon we'll know which three contestants will be showing their stuff at New York's Fashion Week.

I'd love to say that I'm pumped and excited about the upcoming finale, but this season has really bored the shit out of me and I'm only gonna watch in hopes that Kenley gets the bitch slap she deserves. My money is on mousey Leanne finally snapping and going all Silence-of-the-Lamb-Seamstress on her ass. In case you've missed t his season, it's come down to:

Who Will Make The Final Three On "Project Runway?"

Jerrellpr Congratulations to Jerell! The last gay man standing won the final challenge before Bryant Park on Project Runway last night.

But that doesn't guarantee him a runway show at Bryant Park. As we saw, Heidi and the rest of the judges decided to send all of the remaining contestants—Jerell, Koto, Leanne and Kenley—off to design collections (just like they did last season), and they'll choose the three going to Bryant Park based on what they whip up.

Oh, the suspense! Who do you think will make the final three?
