New York's International Cringefest

Because there's enough terribly earnest terrible theater in the world (which gays knowingly conceive, create, produce, and consume), it's a bit refreshing to know that fresh satire about this issue planned well in advance thanks to the International CringeFest '09. If Woody Allen and Larry David can enjoy wild success with that awkward and discomforting comedy, so can we!

Frameline33: The San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival (aka "The biggest queer film festival on earth") is all over until next summer.

Here's our whirlwind overview of some of the highlights you'll be wanting to add to your Netflix queue in the coming year or be looking for at a queer film fest near you — especially if you live in Los Angeles (Outfest.org) or Philadelphia (QFest.com) where those ginormous LGBT film festivals kick off this weekend as well!

London Premiere of "Bruno"

Sacha's shenanigans continued for the London premiere of "Bruno" by showing up in a skimpy variation of the uniforms worn by Buckingham Palace guards - and then saying: "I just wanted to do something that was flattering for the royal family. Something that the queen - I'm not talking about Elton John - would really appreciate. You know the British royal family and the Austrians have got a lot in common. "Twilight" Hunk Goes Gay...For Movie Role

British hottie Robert Pattinson sucked face with a girl in the vampire flick Twilight, delighting teenage girls everywhere. Now, to the delight of gay men everywhere, we get to see him suck face with a guy in Little Ashes, which opens tomorrow.

The period piece set in Madrid finds Pattinson playing Salvador Dali and chronicles the eccentric artist's steamy affair with Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca (played by Javier Beltran).

M*A*S*H Actor Comes Out

It took him awhile, but David Ogden Stiers, the 66-year-old actor best known for his role as the wonderfully aristocratic Major Charles Winchester on the iconic television series M*A*S*H, has come out of the closet. Asked by the Gossip Boy blog if he is gay, Stiers replied, "Yes, I am. Very proud to be so."

Watch Now: "9 to 5" Hits Broadway

Durn. You kinda want "9 to 5: The Musical" to be better than it is. Not that you won't have fun at this stage version of the 1980 feminist revenge comedy that was a hit movie with an impossibly catchy title tune. It's a certified crowd-pleaser.

Relive The Best Of "Will & Grace"

Some good news for fans of Will & Grace craving a little quality time with Will, Grace, Jack and Karen (and let's not forget Rosario!): Lionsgate is releasing two Best Of DVDs—Will & Grace: Best of Love & Marriage and Will & Grace: Best of Friends & Foes—on May 5.

Each two-DVD collectors' set features 16 episodes. While the Love & Marriage set includes Jack's green-card marriage to Rosario, which is one of my all-time favorite episodes, Friends & Foes is made up of episodes featuring famous guest stars like Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Madonna.

Wolverine: Ready For Action?

Say you're immortal, and you've served in the battlefields of the Civil War and the trenches of World War I. Wouldn't you eventually want to sit out World War II and Vietnam? Yet Hugh Jackman's mutant Wolverine and his brother (Liev Schreiber) serve in all four wars during a prologue for "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

The battles set the tone for "Wolverine" from which director Gavin Hood rarely deviates. The prequel telling the back story of one of the "X-Men" trilogy's favorite heroes is all about tough guys fighting, with every trick and weapon imaginable.
